Emergency ManagementProject SummariesThe following project summaries highlight several of the major projects that the MJW Corporation Inc. has or continues to perform to date. |
 State University of New York at Buffalo:MJW is assisting SUNY at Buffalo with emergency management issues related to the campus nuclear research facility. MJW performed a comprehensive risk assessment including the determination of potential event consequences. MJW provided recommendations for program improvements, and conducted an audit of mandatory emergency management actions and preparedness. Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority:MJW assisted the NFTA with the planning and execution of four emergency exercises, including two table top and two full scale exercises. The exercises focused on response to potential terrorist attacks against the bus and rail transportation services. Multi-County RDD Exercise:MJW assisted Erie County NY and Chautauqua County NY with the planning and execution of a joint full scale Radiological Dispersal Device exercise. MJW provide pre-exercise planning assistance, provided radioactive plume modeling, pre-exercise training to various participating agencies, and assisted with facilitation and evaluation of the exercise. Erie County Sheriffs Office:MJW assists the Erie County Sheriffs Office with training, instrumentation, and other consultative support in regards to the interdiction of Radioactive Dispersal Devices at major public assembly events New York State BOCESMJW has provided software and consultative support to BOCES in support of preplanning for potential acts of violence or terrorism in the public school system. Hazardous Materials Response Training:MJW has provided training support to all of the response teams in the Western New York area, as well as to numerous EMS response organizations. Training includes both class room and hands on training evolutions. |
