Graphical Electronic Dosimetry Display System (GEDDS™) 3.6
Overview
The Graphical Electronic Dosimetry Display System (GEDDS) is a Windows® based application which provides an easy to use and understand graphical interface for the control and display of radio transmitted electronic dosimetry data. GEDDS was developed in response to the need for increased productivity and improved information management. It provides a high performance network solution for the management and display of data received from radio transmitting devices such as electronic dosimeters (telemetric dosimeters), ARMs and CAMs.

GEDDS Command Center
The GEDDS Command Center is the portion of GEDDS the user interacts with. It provides control of the dosimeter reader, management of inventories of devices (dosimeters and area monitors), people, tasks and RWPs, and monitoring of active users. Additions can be made automatically or via data entry windows. Assignments are made quickly by picking items from pop-up lists with built-in safeguards to prevent errors such as assigning the same dosimeter to two people. Monitoring views can be filtered by RWP, Task and Location to provide concise viewing of workers' information.
GEDDS Communications Server (Comm Server)
The GEDDS Comm Server communicates with the telemetric dosimetry manufacturer's radio receiver connected to the serial port of the PC. The Comm Server decodes the data received and transmits it to the GEDDS Network Server.
GEDDS Network Server
The GEDDS Network Server is the heart of GEDDS. The GEDDS Network Server manages security functions for the system, receives data from the Comm Server program(s), stores the data in the history database, forwards the data to the end users for viewing, and processes alarms.
